Formally known as Contains Art the galleries started life in two blue containers on the Quay side. Contains Art is part of the exhibitions, events, cultural programming and creative learning at East Quay Watchet
Contains Art CIO was established in 2012 as a not-for-profit social enterprise, converting to a charitable incorporated organisation in 2021. For six years, until October 2019, Contains Art’s home was three shipping containers. We now run the exhibition programme in the wonderful new galleries at East Quay, as well as a host of workshops, installations and activities out of Studio 10, the Creator Space and Courtyard.
There are also 9 artist/ maker studios at East Quay and you are always welcome to pop in and see the work when the artists are at home.
The gallery is open 10am- 6pm Monday to Sunday.
