Our small coastal town of Watchet is sandwiched between the Quantock Hills – an area of outstanding natural beauty – and Exmoor National Park, with its stunning heather clad, undulating hills. Just a stone’s thow away you can romp through beautiful, dense woodland, follow meandering rivers and marvel at the ancient monuments of Landacre Bridge and Tarr Steps. All you need is a thermos of tea and some walking boots. Dunster Castle and Cleeve Abbey also sit just a few miles away. The former is even accessible by steam!
We’re also spoilt for choice for indoor entertainment. If you’re coming here with children there’s a wealth of wildlife parks, zoos and activity centres on our doorstep.
